On-Road Sources: Fuel-powered vehicles that travel roads and highways - our cars and trucks. The Central Texas area's most recent emissions inventory (1999) estimates that it is the on-road category that is the largest source of ozone-forming emissions - 40% of NOx emissions and 26% of VOC emissions.
